What is an End of Life Doula?
An End of Life Doula guides a person who is transitioning from this life to the next. As well as their family and loved ones through the dying process, and after, by providing non-medical, holistic support, guidance and comfort. An EOLD (End of Life Doula) also, works with those are not in the end stages of life, but would like to be prepared.
Honoring Your End of Life Transition.
I am your personal advocate, cheerleader, companion, guide, ears and rock. I am your shoulder to lean on and when needed, I will fight to ensure your final wishes are known.
My sole purpose is to assist YOU in your transition process. Much like a Midwife or Doula does with the birthing process. During this process, including your family, loved one’s and close personal friends, will be key. In my role as YOUR End of Life Doula, I will assist you in making your final wishes known and followed. My role doesn’t stop when you transition, I will continue to assist your family during their navigation of Grief.
End of Life Doula’s perform a wide range of Services, including, but, not limited to creating transition plans, providing spiritual, family and social support, before, during and just after your transition. My role can also be one more in the logistical aspect, such as helping with Service planning – Funeral or Memorial. Guiding mourners in their rights and responsibilities. Assisting in honoring you.
